TRUE OR BELIEVES ABOUT GINSENG....

Ginseng, a medicinal herb, has long been used in maintaining physical vitality throughout the far-eastern countries including Korea and China.
The Chinese have been using ginseng for over 5000 years. They composed the name ginseng from two words meaning “Man Plant” from its frequent likeness to the human form.
Ginseng is one of nature’s greatest gifts. It is used to increase physical and mental endurance, boost energy, normalize body functions, reduce cholesterol, and prevent cancer. Traditionally, ginseng has been used to enhance sexual desire, by promoting sex hormone production. There are a number of ways to take ginseng. Some Asian users simply chew on the slightly sweet, licorice flavored roots.
Personally, I like to take it in liquid with my breakfast so that I can have enough enery during the whole day.
I recommend it. It has really worked on me.

About Lucy.........(pg.11)

Lucy Gomez is the most creative person I know. She started piano lessons when she was only 6 years old. At school, she was always creating interesting projects in her art class. When she was only 12 years old, she won a citywide poetry contest. Her parents were very proud of her.
Now Lucy works as a sitcom writer for a popular T.V. show. She works with a group of writers, and together they have to think of fresh idea. They also have to come up with funny dialog for the actors on their show because the actors have to play believable characters that will make the audience laugh. It is not an easy job, but Lucy does it well.

Lucy is very curious. She likes to travel and meet new people who have opinions that are different from hers. She often carries a notebook with her and writes down what she sees and hears. Lucy tells me that these new experiences are a good source of ideas for her work. I always enjoy talking to her and am happy to know someone as brigh and creative as Lucy.

Many changes happened when I was a teenager...(pg. 69)

I rememeber my adolescence as a time that just happend fairly quick, well, I mean that I wish I have done many other thing I could do or I was able to do. For example, I should have studied a carrier; and unfortunatly I did not follow my parents' advice. And finally I decided to get married with my first boyfriend.
So, that I have an deep regret in my life, because I got married so young that I could not continue my studies.
I remember parts of my life and oportunities that I had as a teenager, like studying in Canada for one year before getting married. That made me grow up a lot because I got used to take my own decisions and also helped me to be more organized and responsable. It was an amazing experience to meet different people with different culture and of course, I started to learn English.
I am also glad that I had my children very young. So, I can say I have achieved good goals as a mother also it have been hard sometimes to take desicions. But, anyway I would never change my life as a young momy.

Walking at the park (book..pg. 61)

One day I was taking a walk at the park that is located in front of my house when suddenly, I ran because my son was calling me to help him at the moment he threw the ball into a tree. After that, I went back home to take a broom, so that I could push the ball away from the tree.. As soon as we got the ball I decided to play basketbal with him and stop walking, just then he told me that it had been just an excuse to play with me.
The next day I started playing basketball with my son Gerry before taking my walk.

How Mexican people celebate The days of the Dead

Here in Mexico it is a very popular Holiday, also Mexican love these days; it is a kind of mix between happiness and sadness; but foreigners have more trouble understanding"Los Dias de Los Muertos" than any of Mexico's other fiestas. First of all , Day of the Dead decorations, colored paper garlands, little skeletons performing daily tasks and sugar skulls inscribed with names remind visitors of Halloween. Other tourists discover that much like Memorial or Remembrance Day back north, families here visit, clean and decorate graves of loved ones for the November 1 and 2 holidays. Many families honor their ancestors and dead with home altars, laden with harvest fruits, traditional bread with crossed bones on dough on top, all to greet the spirits as they return to the home for 24 hours each year. Personally I have never done these traditions but I admire, like and enjoy all of these.

What Does the Name 'Halloween' Mean?

  1. It is well known that halloween is contrary to popular beleifs, it is a ancient traditian created between pagans and christians, although it later got shifted over to paganism rather than christan.
  2. Halloween was supposedly a day when demons, ghosts, zombies etc came back from the dead nothing to do with witchcraft and the say after, also known as all saints day was when the angels, saints etc came down from the heavens
  3. and faught with the goulies and banished them back to hell. But.. the tradition in my country is by celebrating on the night of October 31st.,most notably by children dressing in costumes and going door-to-door collecting sweets.
I remember my childwood, when I used to do this with my friends and cousins around our neighborhood...I always get back home with my pumpink basket full of candy. I enjoyed it a lot.

In general, people from the city............

In general, people from Tampico like to spend Sundays at leisure. Many of them usually visit Madero's beach as a family day. They must first prepare something to eat for lunch, it could be sandwiches or a tuna salad. Many others get some fast food before going to the beach, it might be fried chicken or hamburguers. Personally, I like to make something at home and take some fruit and juices in a coller with ice. The mean reason for this is to share moments with the family.
For example, when I was a little kid my parents used to take my brothers and me every Sunday. We enjoy a lot swimming and making sand castles.
For the most part many others families from Tampico often go to church on Sundays in order to be grateful to God for the benefits that have gotten during the whole week, including health and life.
Many others prefer to take a walk or practice any sport in a city park in order to keep them active.
Generally speaking people from my city have fans at home, work and schools to get fresher inside, many others have air conditioners during the Summer, because most of the time the weather is so hot here.
